Jennifer Little made her career in Musical Theatre. Here are a couple of examples of her singing through her 40+ year award-winning time onstage.
Jennifer Little works as a performer, primarily in musical theatre, although she performed opera before switching her focus. She has performed on Broadway, in National tours, Off-Broadway, in regional houses and in Europe. Her roles include Carlotta in both Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Phantom of the Opera, and Yeston-Kopit’s Phantom!, Dickenson in an all female 1776, Mame in Mame, Woman 1 in The World Goes Round, Emma in Emma and Company, Madame Bovary in Madame Bovary, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, and Lucinda in Into the Woods, among others. She also performed in Carmen, Figaro, La Boheme, Fledermaus, The Telephone, Magic Flute. She expanded her work into commercials, film and television, while working in New York.
She is so pleased to have been blessed to work with or under the direction of amazing talent such as Harold Prince, Penny Marshall, Ron Howard, Neil Berg, Alice Ripley, Michael Cerveris, Brian D’arcy James, Rita Harvey and others. In addition, she is the winner of several opera competitions, as well as a finalist and semi-finalist in the International Pavarotti and Tchaikovsky competitions.
Jennifer was most recently seen onstage at Flint Repertory Theatre, portraying Beatrice “Judy” Hart in A Facility for Living. She was so excited to join this vibrant and talented community and is grateful for Flint and the Rep for such a warm welcome!
“Jennifer Little [as Emma in Emma and Company] made [an] indelible impression” Backstage.
“Thanks to its talented ensemble and undergirded by a satisfying package of scene, lighting, and music, the play offers thought-provoking entertainment that ultimately turns away from pessimism. With Beatrice, “Judy” Hart, played with lowkey normality by Jennifer Little - the play introduces and negotiates with several relevant themes: the abandonment and abuses of the elderly by a dystopian bureaucracy; questions of individual responsibility; the healing powers of personal stories, and the arts; and ultimately the hope of the collective resilience of the human spirit.” East Village Magazine
“Jennifer Little…is spectacular. Few other people could’ve played the title role [of Mame] better than she did.” Free Press
“Jennifer Little’s “Maybe This Time” is a show stopper…” Hearthstone Town and Country
“One of the most stunning of these supporting characters was Jennifer Little. Her portrayal of Micaela was memorable, her soprano voice wonderfully clear and warm. Her prayer song in the third act was vocally and emotionally pure. It proved to be one of the highlights of the evening.” Larry Warkentin, Fresno Bee
